In a recent incident, the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express encountered a troubling situation as it was pelted with stones while passing through the Agra division between Mani and Jajau stations. Although the train's passengers remained unharmed, the stone pelting caused damage to the windows of the C-7 coach.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, railway authorities swiftly responded, dispatching a team to the scene. They confirmed the extent of the damage caused by the stone pelting and subsequently filed a complaint, launching further investigations into the matter.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Stone pelting episodes have been reported on Vande Bharat trains running through various routes across different states, raising concerns about passenger safety and the security of these high-speed trains.

Just a month prior to this incident, on July 17, another incident had struck the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express. A fire erupted from a battery box under coach C-17 while the train was passing through the Kawai Kethora station in Madhya Pradesh's Bina. Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated, and officials promptly extinguished the flames before the train resumed its journey to Delhi.

The Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 1, operates six days a week, with Saturdays being an exception. The train offers two fare categories: Rs 1,665 for a chair car and Rs 3,120 for an executive chair for the journey from Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin to the Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal. Conversely, for the Bhopal-Delhi route (train 20171), the fare is Rs 1,735 for a chair car and Rs 3,185 for an executive chair.
